NCC Army Wing organized a poignant candlelight vigil on Vijay Diwas

The college’s NCC Army Wing organized a poignant candlelight vigil dedicated to the brave soldiers who fought courageously in the 1971 Indo-Pak war. This respectful event was spearheaded by Principal Dr. Neeraj Goyal, along with Associate NCC Officer (ANO) Lieutenant Dr. Rohit Sachdeva, and the diligent cadets of 5 PB BN NCC and 4 PB GIRLS BN NCC.

During the gathering, Dr. Neeraj Goyal eloquently addressed the significance of Vijay Diwas, shedding light on the indomitable courage and sacrifices made by the armed forces. Complementing his address, Lieutenant Dr. Rohit Sachdeva shared compelling anecdotes from the war, aiming to inspire the cadets by highlighting the Indian Army’s exceptional valor. ANO Lieutenant Dr. Nidhi Gupta played a pivotal role in the meticulous preparation and seamless execution of this meaningful ceremony.

As dusk settled, participants lit candles and collectively observed a two-minute silence, engaging in deep reflection on the enormous sacrifices made by the nation’s heroes. This vigil was more than a mere event; it was a deeply felt tribute ensuring that the legacy of the 1971 war martyrs continues to resonate and remain cherished within the hearts of all attendees.
